  1. The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is responsible for distributing broadcast email messages. Requests must be pre-approved by a relevant Vice President, Department Head, or the CIO.

  3. SUNY BI & SUNY FMS are Financial Systems (SUNY Web portal) used by department account managers to view state account allocation, expenditure and encumbrance balances. The system is also used by staff to reconcile AEPC Visa card purchases.

     

  4. Department shared folders are a secure and convenient way for staff members within a department to share and collaborate on documents and other files.  You can map department shared folders and control who can access them from the Active Directory.

  5. MySBfiles is a network storage option for all students, faculty, and staff. Up to 2 GB of data can be stored in your personal MySBfiles which is backed up regularly on an automated basis by University servers. You can access your MySBfiles from on or off campus using a Web browser. 

    Note: Users on the UHMC domain will use their Home Directory ("U Drive") instead of MySBfiles. For information please call the UHMC Help Desk at 4-HELP.

    IMPORTANT UPDATE:  Access to MySBfiles via a web browser at https://mysbfiles.stonybrook.edu or SFTP will be discontinued as of 7/31/24.

     

  6. Often sections are created for a course that will be having scheduled recordings through out the semester by CELT staff, but if you simply want to use Universal Capture and/or upload your own videos or powerpoints into Echo360/Blackboard, you can create those sections yourself.

SB Alert is the University's emergency notification system used to alert the campus community of major emergencies, immediate threats or impending situations that could pose harm, disrupt classes, impact facilities, activities, or other operations. When activated, the system can send a voice, alphanumeric page, email and/or text message to all of the devices that you enter into the SB Alert - Contact Information tab in SOLAR.

  15. Hexagon (HxGN) EAM, (formerly known as Infor EAM) is an Enterprise Asset Management system currently being utilized by Facilities and Services, Environmental Health and Safety and Campus Residences.
