Phone Directory and People Search
DoIT feeds information from PeopleSoft and other systems into the campus phone directory and people search online directory.
In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student data is not accessible from Stony Brook's People Search tool, only that of faculty, staff, and emeritus.

Employees can sign on to SOLAR and navigate to Self Service, Security and Personal Data, Office Address to update their Campus Address and Phone number.
Google Directory
The contact telephone numbers listed in Stony Brook's Google Contacts Directory are pulled from PeopleSoft. You can update your own telephone numbers in the SOLAR System or ask your department VP Coordinator to update it. The information in PeopleSoft is updated in Google daily.
