  4. MySBfiles is a network storage option for all students, faculty, and staff. Up to 2 GB of data can be stored in your personal MySBfiles which is backed up regularly on an automated basis by University servers. You can access your MySBfiles from on or off campus using a Web browser. 

    Note: Users on the UHMC domain will use their Home Directory ("U Drive") instead of MySBfiles. For information please call the UHMC Help Desk at 4-HELP.

The Virtual SINC Site provides a way for students, faculty, and staff members to access site-licensed, academic software titles directly from their personal computers from either on or off campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students can also use the Virtual SINC Site to access the Print From Anywhere service using any device or operating system.

    Members of Stony Brook Medicine, including Stony Brook Hospital and the School of Dental Medicine, will continue to use Microsoft Exchange for email due to HIPAA compliance requirements.

    Stony Brook's virtual private network (VPN) allows access to certain Stony Brook applications, resources, and services from off-campus.   
    NOTE:  The VPN requires a Stony Brook email address and Duo 2-Step login prior to downloading and installing the VPN.  

  15. Stony Brook has enabled Eduroam, the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. 

  16. Most SINC Sites may be reserved for classes. In addition, some computer classrooms are reserved exclusively for course use and are not used as open labs for students.
