The University participates in this program as part of the New York State Microsoft Select and Academic Select License Program.

The Division of Information Technology has an agreement with Microsoft allowing ALL registered Stony Brook students access to the latest version Microsoft Windows as part of their technology fee. The software will not be re-issued if the original is lost or stolen, therefore, it is very important to save the installation file and license key number.

Benefits of integration may include features like students' assignments are automatically connected to Brightspace grades.
