On October 15th 2024, DoIT hosted a Town Hall for its IT Partners, who serve as embedded departmental IT resources and contacts across the institution. The event featured key presentations and discussions on digital governance and identity and access management (IAM) strategy.

The Information Technology Division came together on September 17th, for an IT Town Hall and to celebrate National IT Professionals Day. The meeting was filled with gratitude, introductions, and exciting plans for the future.

2024 has been a year of significant upgrades in classroom technology at Stony Brook University, benefiting both faculty and students. The Classroom Technology and Support Services team behind the upgrades continues to roll out enhancements across campus, and it’s clear that the improvements, though often behind-the-scenes, are shaping the academic experience in meaningful ways.

As part of DoIT’s 32nd annual Bootcamp — an annual retreat for student employees to connect with one another and with staff — five alumni served on a panel to discuss their journeys from DoIT undergraduate student employees to full-time professionals.
