All Summer & Fall 2024 courses are ready for Instructors to build their courses in. Students will NOT have access to courses until Instructors make the courses active.

Campus Solutions Successful Migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
We started this year with a successful migration of our on-premise PeopleSoft Student Information System to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) during the first week of January. For reference, this successful migration greatly improves the University's ability to serve students by shifting the system from outdated and unsupported on-premise hardware to modern, supported, cloud-based scalable and redundant infrastructure.
New student space available in Javits, 2nd floor
DoIT's Classroom Services Team has worked with a variety of departments on campus & vendors to provide informal study space on the 2nd floor of Javits this Spring!
Changes to Zoom - Student's ability to record to the cloud
At a recent USG meeting, senators brought up Zoom and requested that students have the option to record to the cloud. Effective this afternoon, all students now have that option.

CIOI want to express my gratitude for the warm welcome that many members of the University community have extended to me and my family over the course of my first 90 days at Stony Brook. I am forever grateful for the rich conversations that I am having as part of my listening tour and particularly for the thoughtful suggestions that are being brought to my attention. On November 2nd, 2022 all Stony Brook Students and Instructors who use Blackboard received notification that Access to Blackboard will no longer be available after October 4, 2023.
