Duo Telephony Option Removal
As part of our ongoing commitment to bolstering security and providing the best user experience, we are disabling text (SMS) and voice authentication in Duo for all new users, beginning July 6.
While these methods have been utilized as backup options in the past, we have taken the decision to phase them out due to increasing security risks associated with vulnerabilities such as SIM swapping and social engineering attacks. Instead, we encourage users to leverage the enhanced security and convenience of Duo's mobile app authentication. This method provides a secure and seamless experience by leveraging the Duo Mobile app on your device. We remain dedicated to safeguarding your accounts and appreciate your commitment to securing our digital environment.
