In the world of Google Workspace, "Sharing" is the default. We collaborate on Docs, Sheets, and Slides seamlessly, but there is one detail we often overlook: The Owner.
Knowing who owns the files you use daily is the secret to avoiding "orphaned" data, accidental deletions, and security blind spots.
Take a moment to peek under the hood of your most-used Google files. Who's the owner?
Use the advanced search options by clicking the filter icon in the search bar, opening the "Owner" dropdown menu, and selecting "Not owned by me."
Student Technologists Promote Digital Literacy
Each semester, undergraduate students who work for Academic Technologies lead technology workshops to promote digital literacy. Blackboard Being Decommissioned
Over 5,000 courses are now being taught in Brightspace! As a reminder, Brightspace will be the only learning management system available after the Spring 2023 semester. In early Fall 2023, Blackboard will be decommissioned.
Update on Our Residential TV Entertainment Services
After analyzing the usage data, gathering student feedback, and considering long-term costs and benefits, we have decided not to renew our contract with our provider, Apogee. Therefore Apogee services, including cable TV and HBO Max, will conclude at the end of December 2022.
