Signing into SharePoint Online

Sharepoint is a powerful tool included as a part of Office 365 - with Sharepoint you can collaborate on and publish documents through a personal/group webpage.

Signing Into Sharepoint

If you've invited users external to  Stony Brook, have them follow these directions instead: Otherwise, follow the instructions below. 

If you've requested a SharePoint site you will receive an email. Click on the URL (web address) provided in the email to sign in. 

  1. Enter your email or which ever email address has an invitation and hit Enter
    • Wait until you're redirected to enter your password 
  2. Once you've arrived at this page, enter your NetID password and hit Enter

    • If you don't see this page, try clearing your Cache by pressing Ctrl (Cmd for Macs) + Shift + Delete
  3. Click on the Sharepoint button

  4. Be sure to FOLLOW the site, so you can find it easier next time.

    * This will allow you to sign into the Office365 portal from any computer:
    and then find this site in SharePoint > Following

*You can locate your campus email address and create or update your NetID password in SOLAR.
