CyberArk EPM

CyberArk EPM allows end users to request administrator access for their currently logged-in user account.  It will enable you to have temporary administrative rights to applications/executables on demand.  Users can quickly and safely install software or run programs that would normally require administrative privileges on their computers.

Using CyberArk EPM

Requirements

The CyberArk EPM client must be installed on your workstation. Missing the client? Submit a service request to have it installed. Requires Windows 10 or later

Duo Security Two-Step Login
Code of Conduct

DoIT Administrators will be able to see which applications you install and which programs you run.

Once you have CyberArk EPM installed on your workstation, when you run an executable or program that requires administrative privileges you will be prompted to enter you Stony Brook Email address, then authenticate with your Stony Brook NetID and Password.  Finally after verifying your identity through Duo 2FA, your administrative privileges will be granted for that executable for that one instance.  Every subsequent execution that requires admin privileges will require you to follow the previous steps again.  For more details, click on the guide below.
