Finding Quiz Attempts in Progress in Brightspace

Instructors can get a report of quizzes in progress (quizzes that have not been submitted by students) and submit them.  This is helpful when instructors want to keep quizzes hidden after the end date.   Otherwise, if quizzes are not hidden students can go to Exams / Quizzes, open the quiz that was not submitted and submit it late.  Only when a quiz is submitted the instructor will be able to grade the attempt.

1. Click on Exams / Quizzes

2. In Manage Quizzes, click the down-pointing arrow next to the quiz in question.

3.  Click Grade

4. Click the Attempts tab

7.  Then click the magnifying glass to initiate the search.

8.  You will see any attempts in progress.  You can click on the icon next to "In progress" to Enter the Quiz as a User and submit the quiz so you can grade it.

If the quiz is not hidden from learners, students can go to Exams / Quizzes, click on their quiz, and submit it for themselves.
