  1. Create a Mathworks Account
  2. Download the software
    1. Log into Softweb at (NetID authentication is required to log in to Softweb).
    2. On the Softweb Home Page, click the MATLAB link under University Licensed Applications. From there, click the link to download the software and Mathwork's website opens.
    3. On Mathwork's page, click to download the software, and then click on the version (Windows, Mac, Linux) for your computer.
  3. Install and Activate Software:
    1. Click to open and install the downloaded file (Note: If you do not see the file in your browser, go to your local downloads and double click on the file) 
    2. Click Run.
    3. Click Allow.
    4. When prompted to select installation method, select Log in with a MathWorks Account. Click Next.
    5. Review the terms, accept by selecting Yes, and then click Next.
    6. Select Log in to your MathWorks Account, complete your email address and password as set up in step 1, and then click Next.
    7. Be sure Select a license is selected (and the license in the table is selected), and then click Next.
    8. On the Folder Selection page, select where you want to install the software, click Next.
    9. Select the products you need to install. Click Next.
    10. Select desired Installation Option, and then click Next.
    11. Click Install.
    12. The installation takes several minutes. Once completed, check Activate MATLAB, and then click Next.
    13. When prompted with Activate MathWorks Software, click Next.
    14. Your license number and activation details will display. Click Confirm.
    15. Once the activation is complete, Click Finish.
