- Launch the MathWorks website
- In top right corner, click Get MATLAB
- In the Get MATLAB prompt Click the SIGN IN button.
- In the Sign in prompt enter your Stony Brook University or Stony Brook Medicine email address. Click Next
- If prompted enter your NetID and NetID password, Click LOGIN, Accept DUO Prompt.
- Click INSTALL MATLAB in top right corner, follow the screen prompts to install.
The MATLAB license has just been renewed for Stony Brook University. If you currently have MATLAB installed, you'll need to update the license by following the instructions below.
To update the license file:
- Open MATLAB.
- Select the drop-down menu under the "Help" button on the toolbar.
- Select "Licensing".
- Select "Update Current License".
- Select the license that you want to update.
- Click on the "Update" button.
- Confirm that you want to update the license by selecting "Yes" on the next screen.
The license file will be updated automatically using the internet.
After updating the license, you may need to restart MATLAB in order to implement the change.
