How to submit grades in SOLAR
- Log into SOLAR.
- Select the Instructor and Advising Services tile.
- Be sure to confirm you are on the correct term. If you are not, click Change Term.
- You can then access the grade roster by clicking on the correct icon.
If needed, refer to the Icon Legend for clarification.
- You can then see your grade roster. You will need to select a grade from the drop down for each student on the roster.
- Once all grades have been entered, you will need to change the Approval Status to “submit grades”, then click SAVE. This box can be found directly above your grade roster.
- The Registrar’s Office has a daily process that automatically posts the grades each morning. During peak grading times, grades are posted several times a day. If you have any questions regarding grade submission, you can email submit_grades@stonybrook.edu
