Understanding Which Users You Can Add to Your Brightspace Course
Instructors can add other Stony Brook users to their Brightspace courses.

We can add only Stony Brook users (who have NetIDs) to Brightspace courses.
If you previously added external users to Blackboard (e.g., for accreditation), for them to get access in Brightspace, your department would need to add an affiliate PeopleSoft account for those users. Then, they will have a NetID and can be added to Brightspace as per here.
