Checking Your Google Storage

Our Google Accounts have quotas. In Google Drive, you can view your quota and how much storage space you are using.

Access Storage Usage

  1. In a web browser, sign into your Stony Brook Google Drive Account.
  2. Near the bottom left, click Storage
  3. Your current usage and quota appear at the top with a list of Drive files appears (sorted by most storage used)

  4. Once you've accessed your Google storage, make a note of the storage amount and date so you can track your storage progress as you clean up files

Access Shared Drive Storage Usage

  1. In a web browser, sign into Google Drive and on the left click Shared Drives
  2. Select the shared drive in which you want to check storage for
  3. On the top right, click the information (i) button
  4. On the top right of the sidebar click Details, and scroll down to Storage usage
