Rachael Redhead

Rachael Redhead is the Director of People & Culture at Stony Brook University with nearly two decades of experience in Human Resources. She provides strategic leadership and oversight for a comprehensive shared services model. This model encompasses over 1,000 employees across multiple critical divisions, including the Division of Information Technology, the Office of Finance and Administration, and the Executive Office. She leads a team of HR professionals who are the key liaisons between central Human Resources and senior leadership. Rachael's leadership is defined by a commitment to strategic partnership and employee and student advocacy. She advises senior and executive management on resource planning and employee development, fostering an environment of continuous career growth and providing students with opportunities to learn and grow through employment and internships. She has implemented key strategies to attract, hire, and retain a diverse workforce. She has spearheaded programs to directly strategize on improving operational efficiency, retention, and employee engagement. Rachael holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Molloy University.
