Logging into DoIT Supported Macs with an Internet Connection

  1. Connect to the Internet
    1. If the computer is located on campus, plug into a wired network connection.
    2. If the computer is off campus plug into a wired network connection, or connect to your Wi-Fi using the Wi-Fi selection in the upper right corner of the display. (NB: not all Wi-Fi access points are supported.)
  2. At the Sign In window, enter your Email and click Next.
  3. Enter your Email/NetID password and click Sign In.
  4. Process your Duo/two factor authentication.
  5. Click on Yes, this is my device.
  6. Click on Continue when asked to trust stonybrook.edu.
  7. If prompted to select an account to sync choose your old account by
    1. Clicking on the Connect button under your corresponding account.
    2. Entering the password you were using to log in with that account (most likely your Email/NetID password.)
  8. If prompted with: Your Microsoft Entra ID password does not match your local account password. Enter your local account password to sync your passwords, this means you/someone changed your NetID/Email password.
    1. Enter your old Email/NetID password and press the Sync button.
  9. Read the Appropriate Use Policy Reminder then check the I Agree checkbox and then click Done.
