Teaching & Learning Lab Opening This Fall in the Melville Library

Stony Brook shieldTLT's Faculty Center, Instructional Technology Support team, and Media Lab now share space in the Melville Library. TLT has centralized its staff so that it is truly one-stop shopping for faculty who need help with course design, assessment, and teaching tools. During the Fall 2013 semester, the new Teaching & Learning Lab will open next door to the Main Library SINC Site. The Teaching & Learning Lab is a place where faculty are welcome to come who need assistance with ePortfolios, multimedia development, and instructional technology. Services available include:

  • Creating animations
  • Concept mapping
  • Developing timelines, games, and learning objects
  • Digital storytelling
  • Course and teaching ePortfolio development
  • Multimedia development/editing
  • Poster design/printing

The Teaching & Learning Lab is located on the first floor of the Melville Library in the South wing, next to the SINC Site and TLT Offices in Room S1430A.
