Updating your MATLAB license

The MATLAB license has just been renewed for Stony Brook University.  If you currently have MATLAB installed, you'll need to update the license by following the instructions below.

To update the license file:

  1. Open MATLAB.
  2. Select the drop-down menu under the "Help" button on the toolbar.
  3. Select "Licensing".
  4. Select "Update Current License".
  5. Select the license that you want to update.
  6. Click on the "Update" button.
  7. Confirm that you want to update the license by selecting "Yes" on the next screen.

The license file will be updated automatically using the internet.

After updating the license, you may need to restart MATLAB in order to implement the change.
