Printing a PeopleSoft or SOLAR Page

Print a PeopleSoft or SOLAR Page

  1. On the page you wish to print, click the printer button (if available), select File > Print, or use the keyboard shortcut (Windows: Ctrl+P ; Mac: ⌘P)
  2. If the printed content is too small, some browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari) allow you to print just one frame, resulting in a larger-font printout. In others (Chrome, Edge), you can change the orientation and/or scale to get a larger-font printout. Try the steps below for your browser:

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Right click on the area you want to print
  2. Select This Frame > Print Frame (if you don't see This Frame, click firefox menu icon Print)
  3. You may have to change these options (if you don't see the option to change Orientation or Scale, click Show Details or the Preferences button):
    1. Orientation: Try Landscape
    2. Scale: Try a larger number (e.g., 100%, 125%)
  4. Click Print

Internet Explorer 11

  1. Right-click on the area you want to print
  2. Click the Options tab and select Only the selected frame, and then click Print

Safari

  1. Right click in the area you wish to print and select Print Frame

  2. You may have to change these options (if you don't see the option to change Orientation or Scale, click Show Details or the Preferences button):
    1. Orientation: Try Landscape 
    2. Scale: Try a larger number (e.g., 110%)
  3. Click Print

Chrome

  1. Right click on the area you want to print and select Print
  2. Click +more settings
  3. Change these settings until the preview is as desired:
    1. Layout: Try Landscape 
    2. Margins: Try None or Minimum
    3. Scale: Try a larger number (e.g., 120)
  4. Click Print 

Microsoft Edge

  1. Right click on the area you want to print
  2. Change these options until the preview is as desired:
    1. Orientation: Try Landscape
    2. Scale: Try 100% or 75%
    3. Margins: Try Narrow
  3. Click Print
