There is an option for historical documents to be converted from paper to electronic format.  The department's POC will need to relay requirements to the vendor selected for the task. Please download the following document: 

Vendor Requirements for Scanning Historical Documents

Prior to authorizing a vendor to begin a conversion project, the department must have a conversation with a OnBase administrator.  This will ensure the departments' plans can be achieved within the OnBase system and to discuss any risks involved.
