Stony Brook University Affiliates have basic Zoom accounts (instead of *licensed accounts) in Zoom. Basic Zoom accounts have slightly limited functionality.

In order for an affiliate to receive an upgraded licensed Zoom Account the department should contact Theresa O'Connell <Theresa.oconnell@stonybrook.edu> on the affiliate's behalf.

The email must include:

  • Name of affiliate(s)
  • Explanation or justification as to why they require the license
  • The department's state account number
  • A statement of commitment and understanding that these licenses cannot be canceled until the end of the Zoom contract which is currently March 2025
