Google Sheets pivot tables and Excel pivot tables now work more similarly in data groupings.
Google Sheets and Excel files now have improved interoperability in pivot tables. Specifically, grouped field s in Excel or Sheets now remain when importing/exporting spreadsheet files.
In Google Sheets, when you add a date, number or custom grouping in a pivot table, it will remain as an option in the field list, making it easy to re-add the fields to charts or modify groupings at any time. Read more about this update in Google Workspace Updates
