In new Gmail, you can't access full Contacts in delegated accounts. However, delegated mail account owners can delegate their contacts to you. You would then access the delegated contacts with your contacts at contacts.google.com
Winter 2019: New Contacts
Starting today, New Google Contacts is available for you to try. January 15th, everyone will be moved to new Contacts, but you can switch back to old Contacts temporarily.
What's New in Contacts
The overall layout of new Google Contacts is the same, but it has an updated look and some new features:

Group contacts with labels (this used to be called contact groups)

Customize display columns and order

Show/hide the left sidebar

Scroll through all contacts
Try New Contacts
To New Contacts now, sign into your Stony Brook Google Account at contacts.google.com, and click Try Contacts preview in the bottom-left corner. Between now and February 12th, switch back to old Contacts by clicking Switch to old version in the bottom-left corner of new Contacts.
About Google Contacts
Store and Organize Your Contacts
Google Contacts is an app designed to store information about the other users you communicate with - you can easily organize and seach your contacts through Google Contacts
No Need to Search for Information
You can use your contacts to store names, email adresses, phone numbers, addresses, employer, department, or job title.
Quickly Send Emails/Make Calls
Google Contacts will work with your other Google apps (such as Google Mail and Google Hangouts), so that you can easily access your information when you need it.
Getting Started with Google Contacts
Sign In
Sign in with your @stonybrook.edu email address and your NetID password at google.com/contacts. Access Google Contacts from other Google apps by clicking on the grid icon in the top right corner.
Add Contacts
From Contacts, click + Create contact near the top left; then fill out information for that contact. Learn more about creating, editing, and removing contacts.
Use Your Contacts
Google Contacts syncs with your other Google applications and suggests contacts. For example, when you start typing in the "To" field in an email, a list of suggested email addresses from Google Contacts will appear.
