You are unable to reach the SOLAR login screen because your computer's language is not correct. Please follow the instructions below to correct the problem and then try logging in to SOLAR again at http://www.stonybrook.edu/solar

Instructions for Correcting Your Computer's Language

 

Google Chrome

  1. From your browser window, click on the menu bar in the top right corner Chrome menu bar
  2. Click on 'Settings.'
  3. Click 'Show advanced settings ...' at the bottom.
  4. Scroll down to 'Languages' and click the button that says 'Language and input settings ...' 
  5. If you don't see English (United States) selected, click the 'Add' button in the bottom left and choose it from the language drop-down menu.
  6. Make sure English (United States) is selected, and then click 'Done.'

Internet Explorer

  1. From your browser window, click on the 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options'.
  2. Make sure you are on the 'General' tab and click on the 'Languages' button.
  3. If English is there in the box, select it and click 'Move Up' until it is at the top of the list.
  4. If English is NOT there in the box, click 'Add.' Select 'English (United States)' from the list and click OK. Select it and move it up to the top of the list using the 'Move Up' button.

Mozilla FireFox

  1. From your browser window, click on the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options'.
  2. Click on 'Advanced.'
  3. Make sure you are on the 'General' tab.
  4. Go down to 'Languages' and click on 'Choose.'
  5. If English/United States [en-us] is there, select it and click 'Move Up' until it is at the top of the list.
  6. If English/United States [en-us] is NOT there, select it from the drop-down menu and click 'Add.' When it shows up in the box, select it and move it up to the top of the list using the 'Move Up' button.
