Uninstalling Symantec on a Mac
If you have administrator rights on your machine, you can uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Application as you would any other application. However, it may not be completely removed from your machine. For example, you may still see the icon near your clock. To completely remove the application from your computer, the vendor offers removal tools specifically designed to uninstall Symantec on your Windows or Macintosh machine.

- Open Finder, click Applications, then locate Symantec Endpoint, and drag it to your trash.
- To ensure it is, in fact, completely removed, including all virus definitions, use the Symantec Uninstaller for Mac, available on the vendor's website.
- Download the Symantec Uninstaller for Mac file, find it in your Downloads folder, open Finder, navigate to Downloads, and double-click the Symantec Uninstaller to unzip it.

- Click on the Symantec Uninstaller to initiate it.

- Click Open to start the Symantec Uninstaller

- Click Uninstall

- Confirm by clicking Uninstall

- Enter your machine's credentials to proceed

- Click on the Trash can in the Dock

- Close the program when it is finished
