The Department of Teaching, Learning + Technology supports SINC Sites and some computer classrooms on campus.If there is a specific piece of software that your students will need to participate in your class, please submit a software request form.

DreamSpark

DreamSpark Premium is a program which offers a large selection of Microsoft software free to students from qualified departments. The software available includes the latest versions of Microsoft operating systems, development tools, and productivity applications such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, Visual Studio 2008, and more.

Office 365

Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of services provided by Microsoft. Watch "Welcome to Office 365" for a quick introduction. Stony Brook's subscription includes Yammer, OneDrive and Sites.  Office 365 is HIPAA and export compliant.

Softweb is Stony Brook's software distribution website. It is the host from which members of the campus community may download different software titles

Virtual SINC Site

The Virtual SINC Site provides a way for students, faculty, and staff members to access site-licensed, academic software titles directly from their personal computers from either on or off campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Students can also use the Virtual SINC Site to access the Print From Anywhere service using any device or operating system.
