For safety and security of data in SBU's Google Drive, we cannot make a gmail account an owner of a document on SBU's Google Drive accounts.
Workarounds:
- We can, however, share documents with personal gmail accounts.
- Share a single document with a personal email account. Then in the personal gmail account, open the file, click File > Make a copy. When you make a copy, the personal gmail account will be the owner of the copy.
- If you would like to take your documents with you when you leave the university download your data using Google Takeout: https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout
