What does Protected mean?

According to SUNY and the Microsoft License. All Personal/Company data is protected when you utilize the system with the @Stony Brook login.

This means users and organization data are protected, chat prompts, responses in CoPilot are only temporarily saved for the life of the chat.   Microsoft is not able to access them and they are no utilized to train the underlying generative language model.  

Conversation Styles Settings

CoPilot has different conversation styles that display different responses.

  • Creative - Ideas are original and descriptive.
  • Balanced (Default) - Responses combine Creative and Precise
  • Precise - Responses are shorter, and answers are derived from search engine responses.
