ChemDraw

ChemDraw is a program that allows users to draw chemical structures and convert chemical structures to name and vice versa.

How to Obtain This Software

Faculty and Researchers

ChemDraw is a site license software.

This software may also be installed on faculty, staff, and research computers provided the machine is connected to the campus network. DoIT manages a license server on campus which checks to make sure users are connected to the campus network in order to access the software.

Download Instructions
  1. Go to https://informatics.perkinelmer.com/sitesubscription/, enter your Stony Brook email address, and click Submit (see the note on the website about the best browsers to use).
  2. The next page indicates if you can download the software. Click Continue.
  3. If you have an account, log in. If not, click Register to create a new account using your @stonybrook.edu email address.
  4. Once you've registered, click the continue to your previous request link.
  5. Click the link to download the Windows or Mac version of the software.
  6. When you install the software, if prompted for your serial number and registration code, you’ll have received an email with your serial number and registration code. Alternatively, sign into your account at http://www.cambridgesoft.com/membership/, and then click My Downloads to find them (the email and downloads page will also indicate when the numbers expire).
  7. If prompted to activate your software, activate using your serial number following the steps here: http://www.cambridgesoft.com/services/activation
