Maple T.A. is a quizzing program inside Blackboard that is particularly valuable for any course using mathematics. Maple T.A. provides an easy-to-use Web-based system for creating tests and assignments, automatically assessing student responses and performance. It supports complex, free-form entry of mathematical equations and intelligent evaluation of responses, making it ideal for mathematics, science, or any course that requires mathematics.
Advantages of Maple TA
Maple T.A. allows answers that are free form equations and smart evaluation of equivalent responses. The program uses the Maple Engine for calculations and symbolic solutions for problems. With Maple graded questions, an instructor may construct questions that will generate similar random problems for different students. The Maple commands allow for a vast range of advanced mathematical problems.
Maple T.A. also supports the use of 2-D and 3-D plots including randomly-generated plots. There is an option to allow a student to plot their response while answering a question. For more information, see the Maplesoft Website.
Maple T.A. can be accessed through Blackboard. For course instructors, Maple T.A. features may be accessed under Course tools in the left sidebar. There is a link to Maple T.A. Course Tools.
