Single Sign On (SSO) Upgrade

On December 21, 2016, DoIT will be upgrading the University’s NetID Single Sign-On (SSO) service.

What is NetID Single Sign-On (SSO)?
SSO allows users to log into multiple systems, such as G Suite, WolfMart, and Lynda.Com with one username and password i.e., NetID and NetID password. Learn more about SSO.

What does this mean for me?

  • Everyday users should experience no issues signing into services such as G Suite, Blackboard, or Qualtrics with their NetID and NetID password. 
  • If you've bookmarked the NetID Single Sign-On page for a particular service, you may need to update your bookmark. Reference the DoIT service catalog to access our services.

What do I need to do if I am a Web Admin and use SSO?
DoIT advises that you update your CAS configuration to refer to the new endpoint URLs as soon as possible.

Will this upgrade cause an outage?
No outage is expected as a result of this upgrade.
