Client Support Deploying New Support Utility on June 6

A new DoIT Client Support tool aims to assist with network troubleshooting for University-owned desktops.

Client Support will be deploying a utility on June 6, 2016 that will appear as a shortcut on users' desktops to assist when troubleshooting network issues. Client Support may instruct users to run the tool (titled "GetNetInfo") to assist in gathering network diagnostic information. The tool will not run without user initialization and it does not collect any private or personal data. The utility will generate a log file on the desktop that can be reviewed by support personnel.
