Using Personal Capture

Instructors who wish to record from a computer in their office (or at home) may use Personal Capture.  It records your audio, webcam, and can capture your screen as well.  
Before you can use Personal Capture you will need to:
  1. Install the software.  Software can be downloaded from within the user's account on you do not have Admin rights on your machine, you will need to contact your system administrator to complete the installation.  
  2. The software, once downloaded and installed, has a built in user guide.  If you need help, please contact support below.
  3. Recordings must be at least 2 minutes
  4. You can use the basic editing tools in the software to edit your recording
  5. Once you save your recording, it is stored locally on your machine.  Your recordings are accessible only from that machine until you publish them.
  6. If you would like to have your lectures publish to Blackboard, you will need to complete the Personal Capture Request Form.  **Please note that it can take up to 3 business days
