Starting July 15th, 2020, the Google Hangouts app will not work on mobile devices anymore.
- For chat functionality on iOS or Android (not text messages to phones), download and use the Google Chat app.
- On iOS, use another app for text/SMS messages like the built-in messaging app.
- On Android, if you used Google Hangouts as your text messaging app (SMS & MMS), switch to another text messaging app to continue sending and receiving text messages (SMS & MMS). See full instructions.
