Take richer notes:  OneNote is a flexible application for information gathering and multiple user collaboration for course notes and meeting minutes.  It captures notes that are typed from a keyboard or handwritten from a stylus, screenshots, and audio recordings. You can invite others to view or collaborate on your notes.

Certain employees may need mobile communication devices to support the legitimate business requirements of campus departments in achieving the University's objectives for excellence in education, healthcare, and research. It is essential to note that employees of Stony Brook University, utilizing Research Foundation or State funds, are prohibited from procuring telephone equipment, supplies, or services from local cellular service provider stores or service centers. Any requests for equipment, service, or user name changes with wireless service providers must adhere to this procedure. Personal use of the University’s mobile communication equipment and services is strictly prohibited.

DoIT's TLT Educational Technologies department maintains the local origination system for both the residential and hospital cable TV system in accordance with the Policy on Use of Campus Cable Television System. Each system has locally-originated channels (see channel lineup below) that includes satellite, electronic bulletin board, and video playback systems. Most of the residential channels are programmed by other departments, but run through the Educational Technologies system. Educational Technologies is not responsible for other programming (purchasing entertainment or news channels) or transmission (reception problems). Students experiencing problems with reception or concerns about non-locally originated programming should contact their RHD.

SOLAR is Stony Brook University's enterprise-wide, self-service system which provides faculty, staff, and students with online access to manage personal information. Students use SOLAR to register for classes, print schedules, view and pay bills, update personal contact information, view transcripts, and submit student employment timesheets. Employees use SOLAR to update personal contact information, view vacation/sick accruals, print class rosters, submit grades, and much more.

Contacts can contain basic information-like names, email addresses, and phone numbers-or extended information, like physical addresses, employers, departments, job titles, or custom notes. Contacts sync with the other Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts) and mobile devices so you have easy access from anywhere.
