Modify User Roles in Blackboard Courses

If you accidentally enroll someone into your course with an incorrect role, or need to change the level of access that they have, it’s easy to change it.

  1. Enter your course by clicking its name in the My Courses module.
  2. In the Control Panel, select Users and Groups, then Users.

  3. Your course roster, including all students, instructors and TAs will be listed.
  4. Click the down-pointing arrow button to the right of the username (NetID) of the person you wish to change, then select Change User’s Role in Course.                                       
  5. Select the appropriate role, then click Submit.
