Attendees: Joining a Skype for Business Meeting From a Link

Attendees can recieve a link to the meeting from the Presenter or it may be posted on a web site or Blackboard course site.  

  1. Click on the link provided by the presenter to enter the meeting. 
  2. On this screen, you can use the Skype for Business web app, but if you have it installed, click "Join using Skype for Business client or Lync Client" -- this will open the client and place you in the meeting.
     Skype for Business Web App with steps to join the meeting. Step 1 says "Download and install the Skype for Business Web App plug-in" and has a clickable link to download it. Step 2 "After installation, click on Join the meeting." Step 3 "Skype for Business Web App will open in a new window."

Joining Via the Web App

  1. If you decide to use the web app, click the link in step 1 on the screen (see image above) to download the Skype for Business Web App plugin (some browsers will request your permission to launch or download the web app).
  2. Then in step 2 click "Join the meeting"
