Inviting Others to a Google Hangout from Google Calendar

Add a Google Hangout (voice/video/text conference call) to any calendar invitation so remote guests can join in easily right from the event's details.

You can send a meeting invitation with a date and time to "Hangout" with others using Google Calendar

  1. Sign into your Stony Brook Google Calendar:
  2. Create a meeting adding the 
    1. date and time
    2. guests
    3. description if necessary
  3. Click Add a Video Call to the invitation
  4. Recipients can join the meeting either from their RSVP email or from their calendar:
  5. If your invitation includes external guests (those without Stony Brook Google Accounts), they can join after someone from Stony Brook University has joined the Hangout and accepted them into it. You can also add external guests once the Hangout has started.
