Inviting Others to a Google Hangouts Meet Session from Google Calendar

Add a Google Hangout (voice/video/text conference call) to any calendar invitation so remote guests can join in easily right from the event's details.

You can add Hangouts Meet links to meeting invitations in Google Calendar so guests can easily join the Meet video conference. 

  1. Sign into your Stony Brook Google Calendar with your NetID and NetID password at http://go.stonybrook.edu/gcal
  2. Create a meeting adding the 
    1. date and time
    2. guests
    3. description if necessary
  3. Click Add conferencing and select Hangouts Meet 
  4. Recipients can join the meeting by clicking the join link either from their RSVP email or from their calendar:
  5. If your invitation includes external guests (those without Stony Brook Google Accounts), they can join after someone from Stony Brook University has joined the Hangout and accepted them into it.
