Creating edTPA Courses in Digication

Creating an edTPA Course in Digication

  1. If this is your first time setting up EdTPA on Digication, please visit and log in with your NetID and NetID Password.  You only need to do this once.  This will allow you to see the EdTPA settings to create your course in Digication. Otherwise if you've already enabled the EdTPA settings previously:, with your NetID and NetID password.
  2. Click on Courses at the top of the screen
  3. In the My Courses section click Create
  4. Fill out the form:  Title, SyncID Course Number (if you have one), Short Description, When this course is available.
    • Most important:  check off EdTPA
  5. Click Save when you are finished.
  6. In the next section, click add students to add students to this digication course.
    • You can add students one by one or allow students to sign themselves into this course.
Adding Individual Student
  • Enter first and last name and click Search
  • Click the " + " to add the user
  • If the user will be grading (TA, GA, Assistant Instructor), check off the Faculty box

Note:  Students can find and enroll themselves into your course by clicking on Courses (up top) > Find (in the My Courses section).  You must provide students with the Title of the course and the password (if you set one up)

Click Save when you are finished.

7.  Now you may encourage your students to log into Digication, find your course site, and click on the EdTPA tab to add their materials.
