Adding Modules to the New Digication

New Digication offers a plethora of modules and formats to upload/embed files in your ePortfolio. It also offers more flexibility with how you can arrange modules around.

If you're using the default template, there is already a rich text module with brief introduction of what each page should be about. To add more content:

  1. Click Add (+) button at the bottom right.screen-shot-2018-04-10-at-12.41.26-pm.png

  2. The library section will pop up.

  1. Choose the content you would like to add.

Each content function is as below:

  1. Slide - Organizing your content within the pages of your ePortfolio.

  2. Rich Text - Adding text.

  3. Table - Creating a table.

  4. Previous Uploads - Viewing/Adding your previous uploads. You do not need to re-upload the files you already uploaded before.

  5. Upload File - Uploading images or pdf files.

  6. Take Picture, Record Video, & Record Audio - Need to have access to webcam.

  7. Gmail - It's NOT recommended to connect to your email because then Gmail has access to your email records and can send/receive emails on your behalf!

  8. Github - To showcase your computer science work.

  9. Google Drive - Recommended to connect to your Drive so that you do not have to upload files from your computer. Easier access to your documents.

  10. Box.com - If you have files/photos stored in Box.com, you may connect to your account and easily access them.

  11. Google Photos - If you have photos stored in Google Photos, you may connect to your account and easily access them

  12. Embed - Embed an online video or website with previews.

Adding Modules to the Classic Digication

1. Log in to Digication and click on your ePortfolio

2. Click on the page that you would like to add a module to.

3. If you have already added a module to this page, you can add another module by clicking the green 'Add a Module' button on the right side of the page (pictured below). This will cause a grey box listing the different types of modules to appear. If you have not yet added a module to the page you are working on, this box will appear on its own.

4. In the grey box that appears, you will notice that the 'Rich Text' module is selected by default.  The following is a list of all the modules you can create in your ePortfolio:

  • Image/Video/Audio: This module allows you to display a single multimedia artifact such as images, videos and audio files.
  • Rich Text: This module allows you to enter text and modify the formatting (bolditalicizeunderline) as well as create links to external websites, files and images.
  • Gallery: This module allows you create an online gallery of multimedia artifacts (images, videos, etc.) and allows for text captions.
  • Contact Form: This module allows you to receive feedback and comments from your audience without revealing your personal contact information.
  • Equation: This module allows you to display mathematical equations in the form of LaTeX and AsciiMath notations.
  • SocialThis module allows you to create a set of links to social media/networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pintrest.
  • Creative Commons License: This module allows you to set up a Creative Commons License, which you can use to protect your work from unauthorized use.

5. Once you have selected the module you want to add, click 'Add This Module'
