You can manage devices from the Single Sign On (SSO) screen after you enter your NetID and NetID password. Below you will find information on how to add new devices like a tablet.
If you want to delete, rename or reactivate a device click on these instructions.
Adding a New Device on the SSO Screen
- Clear your cache if you are working on a computer. This will prevent the "Remember me for 7 days" option from automatically logging you in and bypassing the Settings button.
- On any Single Sign On page (like Google Mail, Qualtrics, Zoom), log in with your NetID and NetID password.
- On the Duo challenge screen, click Settings.
- Click Add New Device. Then follow the prompts to add another device. The instructions below will showcase how to add an iPad as a second device.
- Authenticate with your primary Duo device either by Entering a Passcode or Sending a Push.
- Choose the type of device you are adding, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Continue.
- If prompted, choose the device's operating system.
- Ensure that you have the Duo app installed on your second device and click I have Duo Mobile.
- Open the Duo Mobile app on your second device and either tap add + or Use a QR code from the Welcome screen. Then over the device over the QR code within the Single Sign On (SSO) screen until the green check appears. Then click Continue at the bottom of the Single Sign On (SSO) screen.
- On the next screen, you will see both devices listed (your primary device and your enrolled secondary device). Scroll to the bottom of this Single Sign On (SSO) screen and choose your Default Device and under When I log in: Ask me to choose an authentication method. Click Save to finish.
