In an effort to maintain efficiency and reliability amongst computing equipment on the Stony Brook University Campus, the Division of Information Technology's Customer Engagement and Support department has instituted Hardware Support Standards.

Purchase Recommendations

To ensure you are purchasing supported hardware please review our hardware purchase recommendations. 

 

Unsupported Devices

For University devices that are no longer supported as per DoIT's published standards, a one time best effort fix will be attempted as an extended courtesy. The device will then be tagged with a sticker indicating additional support for this device will not be offered.
