Intro to Skype for Business
Skype for Business allows you to conduct video conferences with chat, sharing screens/slides, polls, whiteboard and the ability to record sessions. Learn the basic features of this program.
Audience: Clubs, Faculty, Researchers, Staff, Students and Teaching Assistants
Workshop Level: Beginner
At The End Of This Workshop You Will Be Able To
Set Up Virtual "Meeting Rooms"
With Skype for Business, you can easily set up permanent meeting rooms. You can easily invite others by sending them the link. These meeting rooms are great for staff meetings, clubs, or student groups as they allow everyone to participate without gathering in a physical room.
Organize Your Skype Contacts
You will learn how to easily sort your contacts into groups. This is useful because it allows you to create a meeting call with a single click, rather than inviting each person individually.
Efficiently Use Skype's Tools
Skype for Business is much more than a simple voice-chat program; it can be used to display presentations to meeting guests. With Skype you can share your desktop, your notes, or your presentation. Skype also comes with tools to encourage audience participation, such as polling and Q&As.
Current Workshop Schedule
