Special Session with Perry Samson: Lessons Learned Using Echo360 in Class

Perry Samson is Professor of Climate Sciences in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan and contributor to design of multiple educational technologies including the Active Learning Platform for Echo360. Prof. Samson has been honored as an "Arthur F. Thurnau Professor" at the University of Michigan for his contributions to undergraduate education.

This presentation describes techniques used in Echo360 that have led to 1) increased level of student participation overall, 2) increased engagement in populations less represented in the sciences and 3) identify students at risk even before the first exam. Participants will learn what is the workflow with Echo360 to achieve these outcomes as well as the benefits that are expected.
