Crafting a Quality Online Course Syllabus

Wednesday, February 28th 11:00am - 12:00pm
Melville Library S1464, CELT Conference Room

Every syllabus can benefit from revision, but formulating a high-quality online course syllabus is crucial to student and faculty success. This workshop invites all faculty (online and face-to-face) to come learn what syllabus elements are particularly necessary for online courses, and how these elements contribute to student learning. No matter how the course is delivered, a quality syllabus contributes to better course clarity and organization, improved student responses to expectations, and more opportunities to align your pedagogical goals with your instructional practices. Workshop elements will also help prepare faculty for getting new courses approved through the curriculum review process.

Audience: Faculty, Staff and Teaching Assistants
