Classic Gmail Going Away; Try New Gmail Now

September 10, 2018

Effective September 18th, anyone still using classic Gmail will be moved to the new Gmail. Then, classic Gmail and the option to switch back to classic Gmail will be removed beginning October 16, 2018.


New Gmail Is Available

June 07, 2018

Starting June 13th, new Gmail is available for Stony Brook Google Account users to try. The overall layout of new Gmail is the same, but it has an updated look and many new features.


Information Security Initiative Kicks Off

Stony Brook University has authorized a new Project 50 Forward/Operational Excellence initiative focused on Information Security. This project will bolster the University’s ability to deal with the ever-increasing number of sophisticated cybersecurity threats that pose reputational and financial risks to our institution.
