Sharing My Screen in Google Hangouts

You can easily share your screen (either an application or desktop) from your computer in Google Hangouts Meet.

Any attendee can share their screen by click on the Present button at the bottom of the screen.  NOTE:  Tools will reappear when you hover your mouse near the bottom of the screen.

  1. In a Google Meet meeting click Present and choose either Your entire screen or A window:
  2. Choose a screen by clicking on it.  Even if you only see one screen to choose from you must click on it.  This will turn the Share button blue and clickable.
  3. Your Google Meet screen will be black like the image below.  You can see what is being presented to your audience by clicking on the "Presentation (you)" thumbnail at the top right of your screen.
  4. Click the blue Stop Sharing button any time to stop sharing your screen.
