Removing Subscribers to Your LISTSERV through the Management Page

If you are the owner of a LISTSERV, you have the ability to remove subscribers to a closed list, or one that requires permission to subscribe.

Removing subscribers to your list using the LISTSERV Management page:

To remove subscribers one at a time:

    1. Log into the LISTSERV Management page (https://lists.sunysb.edu/index) using your email address and LISTSERV password
    2. Choose List Management and then Subscriber Management
    3. Choose which list you would like to add a subscriber to
    4. Under Examine or Delete Subscription, enter the email address of the person you want to remove from your list (if you do not know the person's full name or entire email address, you can search for them, otherwise put an asterisk (*)
    5. Choose Search in <listname>
    6. If a match is found, you will see the user's information, and if multiple users are found, you can choose which one you want to remove
    7. You will have the option to either notify the user that they have been removed, or not
    8. Click Delete

To remove more than one subscriber at a time:

    1. In order to add multiple people to your list at once, you must create a plain text file (.txt) containing the email address of each subscriber you wish to remove (each subscriber should be on a different line)
    2. Log into the LISTSERV Management page (https://lists.sunysb.edu/index) using your email address and LISTSERV password
    3. Choose List Management and then Subscriber Management
    4. Choose which list you would like to add subscribers to
    5. Click Bulk Operations and choose the option to remove subscribers from your list
    6. Browse for the text file (.txt) that containts the email addresses of the users you want to remove and click Import
    7. Once the subscribers have been removed from your list, you will receive a confirmation
